(EN) Ali Güven is a Turkish composer of contemporary classical music. He has adopted the postmodernist understanding of music. He mainly tries to reflect the aesthetic richness of Neoclassicism, modality and intercultural music in his musical works. He radically changed his understanding of music indexed to traditional folk music during his undergraduate studies with Turgay Erdener and transformed it into an understanding that would provide the unity of European-centered music and eastern cultures.
